TWO Rustic Corkscrew Olive Tree (Olea Europaea) Standard 75cm Door or patio Planter (Complete As Shown)
Our Service & Product Info
Our Olive trees are sourced from the finest growers in Italy & Spain to ensure that the quality we supply you is second to none. Many of the Olive trees we sell were hand chosen for there unique look or fantastic quality by our companys founder when he is abroad on buying trips.
We cannot stress enough that we show the same item as you will receive. Many other retailers show you ideas of how your tree will look in time rather than how it looks today. The grass topping will be replaced with the decorative stone of your choice as the grass is just for demo purposes. Your happiness is our reputation.
The iQbana cube planter that your tree will come planted in is from our "Professional" range. The growing medium we will use to plant up your item contains all of the good things a growing tree will need such as slow release fertiliser, horticultural grit, and is of the best quality available. Also you can choose the decorative topping to complete that perfect look.
Above are pictures of our actual items we will supply including the quality professional iQbana EPP planters, shot in our own studio so that you can get some scale of the item you are looking to purchase. If you look you will also see measurements marked on our studio brick wall so that you can see exact heights. NOTE - Please remember that throughout the year and the trees growing cycle the crown (the bushy bit) will vary but the stem will always remain the same height. This can affect the overall height by 5cm at times but 95% of the time we will deliver the same as shown in the image.

The European Olive tree is an unmistakable signature plant for travelers in the Mediterranean parts of the world, where it has been grown for centuries for its oil and fruit production. Recent years have seen the olive tree becoming increasingly popular as an ornamental tree in the UK as word of its hardiness and general robust nature has spread. No matter if planted in the ground or in a stunning planter this tree always attracts attention.
Even though the Olive tree has been used for hundreds of years as an ornamental tree it is more recently, especially in the UK that it has been considered contemporary.
Full sun and sharp drainage are the key requirements for olive trees and although ultimately a large olive tree plants can easily be confined to any size space by pruning of the branches - annually if needs be.
Olive trees available at the Bentleys are available in a range of sizes and from Ancient, Mature, Bush form and Half Standard olive trees in pots.
Half standard Olive tree are the most affordable and flexible way to grow an olive, small enough to be slipped into smaller borders or be kept containerised. They can be trained and trimmed into shape for a formal situation or allowed to grow, in time, into a spreading evergreen tree. However you choose to grow your olives they will lend an unmistakeable air of the Mediterranean to your garden.
Mature Olive trees are large enough to use as a specimen yet easily accommodated in the mixed border, our mature size Olea europea are the perfect plant to instantly lend that air of the Mediterranean to your garden. Once planted there are many options open to you - they can be allowed to grow into a small tree or kept pruned to keep within limits, become a part of a formal scheme or just allowed to grow naturally. Whatever you do, they never fail to make an impact!
The Ancient Olive trees are the ultimate impact plant for the Mediterranean style garden: the fissured, twisted, gnarled and knobbly trunks on these ancient olive trees just ooze character and immediately captivate. To display them to best effect, try to give space around the plant, preferably in its own raised bed with low-growing companions - Lavander is the classic association. Also here at Bentleys we will also plant these monster Olive trees in large Ironstone jars or 1m diameter bowls, truly stunning.
The main reason you should buy from Bentleys is because we show you exactly what you are buying, not an image of what your purchase will look like in years to come, like many others. We show you genuine images shot in our own studios of the item you are buying......ALSO
